Google has launched a new app to help muslims find the direction of the Qibla. The Qibla is the direction in which muslims pray five times a day.

The mobile version uses AR technology to help users find the direction of the Qibla by moving their phone around.

When users face the Qibla, they are then shown an animation of Makkah with a indication of how far away they are from it.

The desktop version show a blue line directing towards the Qibla with a map behind it, this helps users find their bearings with using surrounding areas and buildings.
